ANSWERS to WEEK 6, The COUSINS SEPARATED

LENAPE HISTORY, WEEK 6,
The NORSE spread throughout North America.
c AD 1325

After moving down from the snowy land
and discreetly leaving the cousins separated
through out all the land.

Where was the snowy land?

The snowy Land was from the northern settlement in Greenland through the Christian Sea.  Maybe the snowy land was considered to be as far south as Lake Winnipeg.   The Lenape history says the land south of Lake Winnipeg was “the pleasant land.”
.
Why did the cousins separate?
.
The cousins separated to settle into homes and land of their own.  Even today, Scandinavians in the Dakotas and Minnesota live in homes at some distance from their friends and relatives.  Scandinavians resolve “freedom of speech” issues by moving away and living apart.
.
Where was “all” the land they spread “though out?”
.
The Cousins spread through out the land around the Christian Sea (a.k.a Hudson Bay), through out the MISSISSIPPI basin and along the Atlantic coast.  Most of the Americans east of the Rockies spoke a dialect of Norse, when the English invaded.

When the Slavs migrated from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean sea, the frontier advanced 20 miles per year .  If boat loads of Scandinavians rowed into Runestone Country in Minnesota every year, and if the frontiers, east, south, and west advanced 20 miles per year, then the Catholics, who spoke Norse would have been standing on the shores of the Atlantic Coast, the Gulf of Mexico, and reaching for the ski in the Rocky Mountains, by the time the English invaded.

ToC SPIRIRT POND
under ARTIFACT > RUNESTONE

Forty-six years is plenty of time to get the SPIRIT POND photograph into the history books.  Anyone under 30 years old should have seen this image.

Do you know of anyone who did?

Aidon must have.  He wrote:

.
"An Old Norse Translation of the Spirit Pond Runic Inscriptions of Maine (60 pp) Richard Nielsen 22/1-p 158 An analysis is presented which shows that previous interpretations of the Spirit Pond Runestones from Maine, USA, have erroneously placed their date around AD 1011, whereas the present analysis shows a dating of AD 1401-1402.The basis of this new interpretation is a closer consideration of the Golden Number rune series and the language use of the period surrounding AD 1401. The content of the inscriptions shows they are the result of a well-established trade route from Gotland to Western Scandinavia to Iceland, around Greenland, and on to North America. The impetus of this expanded trade route included the rich supply of ship timber and furs. Previously discovered runestones, such as the Kensington Runestone in Minnesota, USA, support the conclusion that medieval Scandinavian trade activity in North America was more extensive and occurred at an earlier date.

The SPIRIT POND  stones were only a portion of HOW MANY Nordic sailing instructions found along the Atlantic Coast?
.
"SEVENTY-TWO (72) rune stones with NORDIC SAILING instructions were found along the Atlantic Coast."

Could an honest historian claim that North America was a PRISTINE Wilderness, when the English invaded?
.
I do not think so.  But teachers teach what they were taught.  They do not know Early American History has been profoundly distorted by English men, who used suppression by omission to hide the existence of Catholics, who spoke Norse.
.
How could a historian—any historian—tell his readers that America was a PRISTINE wilderness, where NO European had been before?
.
Historians write about the information passed down to them by the people listed in the reference section of their books.  The information suppressed by omission is harder to understand.

Do you think the map on the stone is authentic?

I think the map is authentic.  A person, who tries to make a similar map today, would have to work hard to make the stone look old and few people even know there were stone punchers north of New Found land.  Furthermore the Spirit Pond Stones, and sixty-nine (69) other navigational rune stones are strong evidence that many of the cousins rowed along the coast.

_____The Stone with a Map _
One of the SPIRIT POND stones has a map on it.  I intended to have you look at that stone also.
.
"The path to hell is paved with good intentions."
.
But you may still understand the Q&A if you can mind an imape of the SPIRIT POND map stone.
.
Can you recognize the features on the coast that are seen in the map on the stone?
.
I think the Spirit Pond stone is a map of the Atlantic Coast from Hamilton Inlet towards the next big bay to the south.

The SPIRIT POND MAP fits best with the land south of the Hamilton Inlet.  The Hamilton inlet is the site of the battle detailed in the Norse Sagas.

The Ericsson Saga was written in support of Gurdrud's elevation to Saint Hood.  She was there when the Americans from the south inlet used an European catapult to defeat the Norse men at Hamilton inlet.

The English historians did not want you to believe that European catapults and Norse men fought in America before the English invaded.

Did you learn about the battle in History Class?

_____ PART C: MISSISSIPPI____
Go to LENAPE LEARNING (INDEX)
ToC MEANING under LINGUISTICS.  FOLLOW the hints in "How to find the meaning ..." to find the meaning of MISSISSIPPI.

“Mis” evolved from Old Norse “Mestr,” which means “Mighty.” “sippi” evolved from Old Norse “Sipi.” which means “flowing water.” Our modern "English" words“Sip” and” Seeping” came from the same source.

So “Mississippi” means mighty flowing water.”

During the time the cousins "discreetly left to separate through out the land," their first objective may have been to get to the Mississippi.  They may have rowed away from the Christian Sea and south through Lake Winnipeg.  At the south end of Lake Winnipeg the LENAPE had three choices.

Routes taken by LENAPE to get to
"The Pleasant Land."
They could row and portage their canoes (a.k.a Knarrs) east to Thunder Bay on Glitch Gummy (a.k.a. Lake Superior), they could go (south) up the Red River, portage into Lake Traverse and then portage again to the Little Sioux River, which flows south the the Missouri, or they could row west until they could portage south to the Missouri.
[The major highways south of Lake Winnipeg appear to be built along the old canoe routes that were in existence before the Little Ice Age.]

_____DISCUSSION_____

Anita Vanput thinks marks punched into stone deserve to be published in history books

Kenneth Lumpkin thinks so too.  He wrote, “I read through this and consulted other sources on Spirit Pond. Interesting.”

Larry Furo  wrote, Here's the chance of a lifetime...write it up & publish in a juried journal, gain some recognition & off you go ! if its just talked about among those in favor here on FB, your talking only to 1 1/100th of 1 % of 1% of us.  If it is more than a hobby or a feel good, someone must go further with it !

Myron Paine replied "OK Larry. Have you read my two books, The Frozen Trail to Mericca, published 2007 and 2009--After I attempted to get it published in a juried journal?"

Larry Furo replied,  I "believe you gifted me the 2009 volume. why were they not accepted?"

Myron Paine replied, "How do you define acceptance?

The book entitled Mayflower was published about the time the first Frozen Trail book came out.

Today there are 499 used copies of Mayflower for sale on Amazon at an outstanding price of $00.001 each.

The used Talerman Frozen Trail books sell for $13 to $22 each. The used Walking to America books are selling within a buck of the original; price.

In 2007, I based my hypothesis that the Americans were Christians on four words from the VIKING and the RED MAN. Now, in 2017, I am saying the Americans were Catholics, who spoke Norse, and trying to show the fifty people following this course how to access the important pages of the VIKING and RED MAN.

How do you define acceptance?

Myron Paine also wrote: Juried publications are juried by people with false paradigms in their heads.

If the heads with false paradigms let you in, juried publications are still an ineffective method of mass communication.

I have had papers in juried publications before

I was honored to be named to “WHO’S WHO IN AMERICAN ENGINEERING” for my contribution to the peanut growers of Oklahoma.
Ever hear of that?

The LENAPE LAND on the Internet is formatted for smart phones.  Even if the high school teachers are still teaching the FALSE Pristine Wilderness, the kids have access to the LENAPE LAND in their hands.

Your estimate of numbers is about correct and I am disturbed that only 4,812 viewers have ever looked at LENAPE HAND, but, somehow, there must be a way to tell kids that the history, which they think is boring, is loading their heads with false paradigms.

They can use those smart phones to search for LENAPE LAND and get another, more accurate paradigm of America to put in their heads.

How can we tell them to search for LENAPE LAND?
